The 19th Asian Clean Energy Forum (ACEF), hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), took place from June 3 to June 7, 2024, in Manila. This premier event brought together over 600 energy professionals from around the globe, including representatives from government agencies, the private sector, consultants, equipment suppliers, financiers, philanthropic organizations, researchers, and other key stakeholders in the energy market. CESI was a prominent participant at the forum. Danilo Mezzani and Francesco Comito, responsible for business development in Asia, represented CESI. Their involvement was organized in collaboration with the Italian Trading Agency (ITA) and particularly supported by Dr. Carlo Liay, ITA’s ADB Liaison Officer.
This year’s theme, “Accelerating the Clean Energy Transition and Ensuring Energy Security and Affordability – Time for Urgent Action Now,” emphasized the need for rapid advancements in clean energy and highlighted the importance of securing energy availability and affordability amid the transition.
CESI took center stage at the “European Clean Energy Solutions” session, a pre-forum event endorsed by the ADB Constituency Office, which represents Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland. Bertrand Furno, ADB Director, introduced the session. This year, European contributions came from Italy, Switzerland, and France, with Belgium and Portugal not having companies present.
The forum offered CESI a valuable platform to expand its network with potential partners and clients in the region and strengthen its collaboration with the ADB. This participation underscored CESI’s commitment to advancing the clean energy transition through innovative and sustainable solutions.
